Todd Burdick, DVM
Practice Owner

Dr. Burdick grew up dreaming of a life as a professional polo player in upstate New York. He graduated from Cornell University and realized his polo days were numbered and settled for a life in veterinary medicine. After answering the call of the Blue Ridge he received his doctorate of veterinary medicine from Virginia Tech and got his first job as a veterinarian in Warrenton, VA.  Dr. Burdick started Burdick Equine in 2008. When he is not out on the road helping his equine patients he spends time at his farm in the quiet countryside of Flint Hill playing polo, hunting, and farming.

Laurel Marley, DVM, CVA, VSMT
Associate Veterinarian

Dr. Marley is a Virginian, born and raised. She grew up in McLean, back when horses still lived inside of the Beltway. She graduated from the University of Tennessee College of Veterinary Medicine in May of 2008 and returned to Northern Virginia to work at a mixed practice for six years. In 2011 Dr. Marley completed her training in veterinary acupuncture at the Chi Institute in Gainesville, Florida. She joined Burdick Equine in May of 2014 and currently resides in Gainesville, VA. Laurel's love of horses and farm animals stems from spending summers riding Tennessee Walking Horses at her grandparents' Hereford beef farm in Bainbridge, Indiana. She now fills her free time running with her lab Duke, caring for her son David and daughter Bea, and cheering on her husband Jarrette as he coaches at Battlefield High School track meets. She has also started a small Irish Dexter beef operation on her farm in Warrenton.
